CSW66 – Call Out for CSO Nominations to Take Part in the Canadian Delegation
The 66th session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW66) will take place from March 14 to 25, 2022. As part of Women and Gender Equality Canada’s (WAGE) annual preparations, we are inviting the nomination of candidates from women’s and other civil society organizations to signal their interest in serving as members of the official Canadian delegation.
Selected civil society organizations representatives will serve on Canadian delegations to international meetings, including the CSW, to share their expertise, help build their knowledge and understanding of the UN, and meet and share experiences with other organizations from around the world.
The CSW66 will focus on achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls in the context of climate change, environmental, and disaster risk reduction policies and programmes.
For more information on the nomination process, including the nomination form and criteria for selection, please proceed to WAGE’s website. WAGE will be accepting nominations until December 31, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. EST.
Please feel free to contact us via UNCSW-CCFNU@swc-cfc.gc.ca, should you have any questions or concerns regarding this nomination process.
